The Day To Day

A prime example of a recent job that required a great deal of planning and care involved the installation of a 600-pound machine in order to replace another 600-pound machine, both of which were hanging from the ceiling. The original unit had been installed during the construction of the building, meaning that the husband and wife team who oversaw the project had to deal with a plethora of potential issues. The biggest problem they had to overcome was the impact installation would have on the plumbing of the building. However, with diligence and extensive planning, the engineering couple were able to disconnect and reconnect the plumbing system while moving the enormous system through and out of the building.
The team also came up against issues related to thermostat sensor technology. In the very old building, there were no existing options for lockout thermostats. Industrial cooling can cost companies thousands of dollars every year, so being able to control HVAC units via remote applications is a core feature for any business owner.
